Rajesh Thapa

Resume counts the first priority in every single person’s life…. So in my case, the most vital one will be getting the scholarship to pursue my HND in travel and tourism from UK.

At the time, I was very confused for which college, which course will further my career. Then one day I came across with a simple advertisement in the Kantipur Daily, calling for an application for the scholarship. I was confused whether it was some cheap commercials trick widely used method to fish students by education consultancy or what. After consulting with my family I gave it my try. The selection process was very competitive. Everything was properly arranged from the written test to the interview. Faithfully I was selected for the scholarship. The day when we got scholarship from the hand of Kathmandu’s CDO was the most memorable moment in my life.

So everything was under rush and we had only about a week to fly to the UK. Knowing that Bharat Dai (Founder member of WNSO UK) would come to pick us at Heathrow, we were at least feeling some sense of security. As per schedule, MR. Thapa showed on an airport and since then WNSO UK has been a guardian for us. From every small thing such as arranging accommodation to even making a travel card and everything has been properly counselled in the UK. Counselled doesn’t mean some strict one, but in a very friendly way. So as per my experience I enjoy being in London and studying at Icon College. From every aspect WNSO is fully supporting us.

At last I want to thank WNSO, Icon College and everyone to make my dream of studying in UK come true. And I will be more than happy to contribute WNSO through out my life.

Rajes Thapa is from Synja District, Nepal and now studying HND in Tourism and Hotel Management in London under WNSO ICON College scholarship.
